Swindon is about to get a delicious new addition to its culinary scene! Tulip Authentic Turkish Café is set to open its doors soon in the heart of Swindon town centre, promising to bring a taste of Turkey to our vibrant community.
Located at 41 Havelock Street, the café will occupy the former site of JJs Hair Group, which relocated to Crombey Street in late 2023. Nestled next to the popular Nepalese restaurant Momo King, Tulip Café is already generating buzz among locals eager to experience its unique offerings.
The café’s name, Tulip Café, suggests that Turkish tea will be a staple on the menu. This beloved beverage is traditionally served in small, tulip-shaped glass cups, symbolising hospitality and warmth. Alongside the tea, we can expect a variety of authentic Turkish dishes that will surely tantalise the taste buds.
Jenny Smith, a local who frequently passes through Havelock Street, shared her excitement: “I saw the signs go up recently and I’m actually quite excited to try it out when it opens. There’s so many chain cafes now that are just all the same so it’ll be good to try something a bit different.”
The 723-square-foot building has been vacant since JJs Hair Group moved out, but the new signage above the café confirms that Tulip Café’s opening is imminent. Although details are still under wraps, the promise of authentic Turkish cuisine is enough to get the community buzzing.
Swindon residents, prepare your taste buds for a culinary journey to Turkey without leaving town. Keep an eye out for Tulip Café’s grand opening date and be ready to indulge in a new, exciting dining experience right here in Swindon.
Stay tuned for more updates, and make sure to visit Tulip Café once it opens to support this exciting new local business.
