Swindon Kids’ Summer Teddy Bear Fun

This summer, Dobbies Garden Centre in Swindon is offering a delightful experience for children with its Teddy Bears’ Picnic event. Designed for kids aged three to ten, this 90-minute session promises an afternoon of creativity and fun on July 27, August 3, and August 4.

The highlight of the picnic is the chance for children to stuff, fluff, and name their very own teddy bear, complete with a teddy birth certificate. This hands-on activity is sure to bring joy and a sense of accomplishment to the young participants.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. The event also features group reading in the storytelling corner, a variety of engaging games and activities, and a selection of picnic boxes to keep the little ones energised. Sarah Murray, the event developer at Dobbies, shared her excitement: “This brand-new event is a great opportunity for kids to come together and experience the wonderful joy that comes with making their very own teddy bear to take home. We’re encouraging families to cosy up and get comfy by bringing their own picnic blankets, beach towel or cushions.”

Tickets for this enchanting event are priced at £15.99 for children over three and £7.99 for those under three, while adult tickets are available for £7.40. It’s important to note that the teddy bear-making activity is only suitable for children over three, so younger attendees are encouraged to bring their own teddy bear to join in the fun.

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Dobbies is more than just an event; it’s an opportunity for families to create cherished memories together. So, gather your picnic essentials and head to Dobbies in Swindon for an afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and, of course, teddy bears!
