In a delightful corner of Swindon, a unique business concept is flourishing, thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of a local mum-of-four. Hannah Webb, the brains behind the UK’s first portable grazing bar, The Little Grazey, shares her journey of turning her innovative idea into a thriving business.
Hannah, a Gorse Hill native, launched The Little Grazey from her home in January 2022. The response on social media was overwhelming, leading her to open a shop and café on Cricklade Road, an area she used to walk past every day on her way to school.
“People just love it,” Hannah says, “We’re now doing more private and corporate events and office pop-ups. Our selection of cheeses, in particular, have been quite popular.”
The Little Grazey’s unique offering of portable grazing bowls has even made its way to London. However, the success of her business wasn’t just about creating a unique product; it was about finding a balance between her professional aspirations and her responsibilities as a mother.
Hannah explains, “I started the business because I wanted something flexible around my children. Luckily, it took off quicker than I expected it to, and it’s been bigger than I could have ever expected.”
Despite some challenges, including a temporary closure due to a lack of hot water, The Little Grazey has catered for big names like River Island, Glamour Magazine, RSM, Branston Pickle, Ferrari, Porsche, ITV News, and a number of influencers.
Hannah’s focus now is to bring a different offering to Swindon and cater for big events. She says, “The shop is closed and only open at certain times at the moment. It’s carnage during the summer holidays with four children. There will not be any other shops opening anytime soon.”
The Little Grazey is not just about grazing bowls; they also offer event boxes and have special deals on bridal breakfasts during the summer. They also have a presence at The Food Space on Aspen Close at Kembrey Park and will be at the Eclectic Market this weekend.
