Swindon residents, mark your calendars! The Bourton Club is gearing up to host a delightful summer food festival on Saturday, July 20, from 5pm to 8pm. This event promises to be a feast for the senses, featuring a variety of local vendors serving their best-selling dishes, live music, and refreshing cocktails.
Emily James, the event organiser, shared her excitement: “The club will be providing lovely cocktails and a few food trucks coming, like Timers Pizza, Nicks Ice Cream, Bunkie Bakes and Little Grazey. There’s a nice bar to sit and eat and hopefully it’ll be a nice day for people to sit in the garden and enjoy the weather.”
The festival will transform the club into a culinary haven with a vibrant atmosphere. From the savoury delights of Timers Pizza to the sweet treats of Nicks Ice Cream, there’s something to tantalise every taste bud. Bunkie Bakes will bring their delicious baked goods, and Little Grazey will offer delightful grazing platters perfect for sharing.
Adding to the festive spirit, there will be live music to keep everyone entertained and a raffle with fantastic foodie prizes, including an afternoon tea hamper and vouchers for Rick Stein’s. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy a summer evening with friends and family, soaking up the atmosphere and supporting local businesses.
Emily emphasised the importance of community support: “I think the club want people to come and support them, but they like people coming to support other small businesses and people trying to start a business up.”
With the recent spell of less-than-ideal weather, this event is a much-needed opportunity to get out, enjoy a few drinks, and hopefully mark the start of a beautiful summer. So, gather your friends, bring your appetite, and head to the Bourton Club for an unforgettable evening of food, fun, and community spirit.
